Orwasher’s Bakery

When walking, I love walking into unfamiliar blocks. That day, I found Orwasher’s Bakery.

It’s beautiful handmade breads.
It’s just beautiful.
When you walk into the store, it’s a beautiful world with the wonderful smell of freshly baked breads. It’s picture perfect and makes Polly a very happy girl.
Can’t wait until Dan gets home so I can cook up a meal to go with the pretty breads.

Josie’s West

It’s surprising to me that I even looked at Josie’s menu.  I don’t intentionally look for healthy food to eat; I care more for what I crave for … Josie’s West always provides tasty and comforting treats.

I LOVE their watermelon lemonade, spicy black bean dumply (picture), butternut squarsh soup (picture), and their grilled tofu with vegetables ~ YUM YUM YUM … Their portion could be a big larger, yes, even for me.  But the taste is just perfect and soothing for a very tired soul.

p.s. I like the food on the Upper Westside better than the one on Upper East Side …

Alice Tea Cup

Yes Yes, this picture is another result of eating happily - eating fast - forgot to take picture first Polly incident when she sees food. LOL

Besides their fabulous scones, I love going to Alice Tea Cup for breakfast on weekdays.  It is very quiet, very cozy, and not crowded.  You feel being pampered sitting in any of their location on a morning … time slows down too …

I love Mauritias (black tea with a hint of vanilla that goes so amazingly well with cream) to go with any breakfast items.  My favorite scones are the buttermilk or ham and cheese scones.

Upper East Side Best Treats!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Anneliese’s Bakery at the corner of 1st Avenue and East 79th Street.  This little bakery offers the best butternut squash soup in cold days to warm my heart up, offers the best strawberry shortcake for any celebration, and offers one good iced coffee in the hot summer weather.

\Anneliese’s Bakery is definitely a treasure on Upper East Side!!!  Call me when you are ready to meet up there over soup or dessert!

Yummy UES Brasserie

Yummy … it is Duck L’Orange with Plum Gnocchi!!!  I had also Panseared Tilapia with Sautéed Mushrooms and Zucchini ~ so good!  The Pomme Frites are amazing too ~

This place is tucked away off busy 2nd Avenue; the setting makes you feel as if you are in a brasserie in Paris.  The brasserie is known for Mussel and Fries ~
