So many good things there to eat at Sobaya 蕎麦屋, where do I start?
Maybe start today, a hot summer day, have a whole lunch set with cold noodles (see pic).
Shared with a new friend, Annie … happy … yummy …!
Winter time, I love a bowl of Kamo Nanbam 鴨南蛮 (hot handmade soba with Sauteéd Duck & Tokyo Negi Green Onion) with any tofu dishes.
Sobaya has been in NYC since 1998. So lucky!

Thank you, Eleanor, for introducing me for my new favorite coffee spot, Ciao for Now.
Love this little place that tucks off the busy 6th Avenue that offers great baked goods and amazing coffee. It’s simple, and little, and quiet.

It has been a cold cold winter. This little heart inside my cappuccino always gives me a smile then warm me up from my palm.
I fell in love with Joe The Art of Coffee few years ago at the Waverly Place location.
So happy now they have quite a few locatons all over town to warm me up.

I have been wanting to eat at Prune for a long time!!! Finally, one day, after watching Eleanor’s performance, I went with Susanna.
YUM YUM YUM
The lamb sausage (in pic) was out of the worldly perfect for starting a late meal. The grills Brazino (see pic) is simply fabulous. And that Steamed Lemon Cake (see pic) made us almost went for a second!!!
Can’t wait to go back and try sweetbread and the bone marrow, who’s coming with me?

What a good way of starting the spring! Moonhee and I walked from Chinatown (a mega dim sum meal with friends) towards Upper East Side in a perfect spring day. There it is - Sundaes & Cones!!! We tasted few flavors; I fell in love with Black Sesame; and Moonhee had Green Tea. Yum Yum Yum.
Can’t wait to go back to try other flavors … eyeing Taro, Blackberry …

One winter, Dan (the husband) and I got curious about ramen noodles; we ate around town every weekend to try some place new. Rai Rai Ken was our first stop.
Love shopping on East 9th Street (between 1st and 2nd Ave), I walked by that big red latern many times. Finally we went in, a cold winter afternoon, the tiny space warmed us up immediately with the steam from the soup cooking on the stove and the smell of the food.
Another winter afternoon, feeling very beat up, I went in there by myself and order the same combo -gyoza and seafood ramen. Rai Rai Ken is just a little spot for me that warms my heart.

I enjoy simply food with good ingridients. The Smith is where I think offers good New American food - good mac&cheese, good burger, and good salads. The setting is rustic and comfortable. Service is just enough for this setting as well.
Sandra came to visit, we went for breakfast/lunch in a chilly afternoon. We shared roasted tomate soup, string beans salad, and chicken sausage with poached eggs with peppered gravy. Oh my goodness, everything was tasty and yummy.
